October–November Highlights: Hendrik Adventure Tours 2025 Travel Recap

Dear friends,

As 2025 draws to a close and the festive season rolls in, we’ve taken a moment to reflect on the unforgettable journeys we’ve shared over the past two months. October and November brought adventure, laughter, breathtaking landscapes — and more than a few wild surprises.

Whether you travelled with us or simply followed along from afar, we’re so glad to have you as part of the Hendrik Adventure Tours family.

We had the absolute pleasure of welcoming two incredible groups on our 12 Days in Heaven tours this October — and they were every bit as magical as the name suggests.

We began in Maun, Botswana, and ventured into the untamed heart of the Moremi Game Reserve, where elephants roamed, hippos wallowed, and crocodiles sunned themselves along the riverbanks. One lucky group even caught sight of a leopard melting into the mopane trees, while wild dogs stirred excitement on early morning game drives.

In Savuti, we listened to lions calling through the dusk and watched Africa’s golden light stretch across wide, open plains. The journey continued to Kasane, where a sunset cruise along the Chobe River delivered unforgettable views, close encounters with wildlife, and peaceful reflections.

We ended each tour at the mighty Victoria Falls, a soul-stirring finale where guests stood in awe of the thunder, mist, and rainbows. It was Africa in her grandest form — and it left a lasting imprint on every heart.

Adventure is not just about what we see — it’s about how we feel. Over these past tours, we:

• Picnicked in wild places with giraffes nearby
• Shared candlelit bush dinners under star-filled skies
• Enjoyed fine cuisine and South African wines
• Laughed around fires, swapped stories, and made lasting friendships

Every detail was thoughtfully curated so our guests could simply be — immersed, present, and free to soak up Africa’s magic.

In November and early December, we hosted our final tours for 2025 — the 15-Day Victoria Falls & Wildlife Extravaganza — and what a spectacular finale it was.

These longer journeys combined classic destinations with off-the-beaten-track moments:

• Rich wildlife encounters across Botswana & Zimbabwe
• Guided walks and game drives
• Cultural stops, local markets, river cruises, and restful stays in charming bush lodges

It was the perfect way to wrap up an extraordinary year of travel.

During one of our Chobe River cruises, a guest leaned over to wave at a group of hippos nearby — and to everyone’s amazement, one hippo suddenly rose from the water and let out a massive yawn, almost as if to say, “seen it all before!”

The timing was perfect, the cameras clicked, and the boat erupted in laughter. Just another classic moment on the water!

To each and every one of you who joined us — danke, hvala, gracias, and thank you. You came with open hearts, curious minds, and adventurous spirits. You made this season unforgettable.
